Hello and welcome! I’m going to show you how I changed this pickle jar from this⇑ To this⇓:) All the supplies I used I already had except for the image used. It is rice paper from Stamperia that I have recently purchased through the mail. The picture came on a sheet that included seven other winter images at $1.99 a sheet. I definitely didn’t break the bank on this one. After the jar was cleaned with soap and water , I cleaned the outside with alcohol and a cotton pad to get rid of any greasy residue. Decoupaged Wine Bottle Using Christmas Cards. Project #3.
I love the way all three of my Christmas card projects turned out. I think the shape of this bottle is especially suited to the shape of the picture. To remove some of the layers of paper off the back of the card, I misted the back of the card with water, then I peeled some of the layers off starting from one of the corners. After that I gently rubbed my finger back and forth over the back of the card to roll off more of the paper. I cleaned off the outside of the bottle with alcohol. Decoupage With A Holiday Card/Make A Beautiful Gift Out Of A Jelly Jar
My previous blog explained how I obtained some of the images I liked from the front of holiday cards I had received this past Christmas. The above image was off of one of those pretty cards. A quick refresh: I spritzed the back of the card with water and let it soak in for 2-3 minutes. Then I peeled and rubbed much of the extra layers of paper off the back of the image.
