Wall Plaque Made over With Rice Paper And Hooks
Spring is around the corner and I assembled another wall plaque for a relative who will be setting up a new home space for themselves. This one is very different then the other one I just blogged about. The rice paper I used screams summer/spring and nice weather. It has a beautiful floral that includes tree branches, a birdcage and a bird outside the cage. I used another of the wood plaques I had purchased from the craft store that already had the string to hang it with attached. This is a very light piece of wood so the string alone was sufficient. Pretty Bottle Decoupaged With Vintage Stamperia Rice Paper And Paint
I’m not always sure in what direction to take a project when I first begin, but this bottle was giving me a vintage vibe. Before starting I gave it a coat of primer to see if it would help the acrylic paint stick to the glass surface. I then moved on to tis Folk Art white paint. It is pictured above with my new brush especially made for this paint, which I love. But I needed very a thick layers of paint to cover the green so I ended up applying two coats with a sponge. Charming Pickle Jar Transformed With Rice Paper And Paint
Hello and welcome! I’m going to show you how I changed this pickle jar from this⇑ To this⇓:) All the supplies I used I already had except for the image used. It is rice paper from Stamperia that I have recently purchased through the mail. The picture came on a sheet that included seven other winter images at $1.99 a sheet. I definitely didn’t break the bank on this one. After the jar was cleaned with soap and water , I cleaned the outside with alcohol and a cotton pad to get rid of any greasy residue.
