Maple Syrup Bottle Turned Into Winter Decor With A Holiday Card
The handle on these maple syrup bottles are so cute. I’ve thrown to many of these into the recycling bin. This is project #2 using pictures from the front of holiday cards. I have a previous blog explaining how I take a lot of the backing off the front cover of the holiday cards I used for these projects. I like to spray the back with water, let it soak in for 2-3 minutes then peel what I can get off by lifting from the corners. Decoupage With A Holiday Card/Make A Beautiful Gift Out Of A Jelly Jar
My previous blog explained how I obtained some of the images I liked from the front of holiday cards I had received this past Christmas. The above image was off of one of those pretty cards. A quick refresh: I spritzed the back of the card with water and let it soak in for 2-3 minutes. Then I peeled and rubbed much of the extra layers of paper off the back of the image. This is the jar I used from my stash. After washing the jar and cleaning the outside with alcohol, I gave it two coats of white acrylic paint. The paint said it was good on all…

Dry Orange Slices In the Oven/Rustic Addition For Autumn And Winter Home Decor
I love home decor that includes natural elements. In the past I’ve strung popcorn, used acorns, leaves, twigs, birch bark and cinnamon sticks. Dried orange slices are also very popular and super easy! I started by slicing two oranges 1/4″ thick. Try to make them as even as possible and placed them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. I had a couple that I knew were cut to thin but I left them on the tray anyway. I warmed my oven to 325 degrees and put the oranges in for one hour. After the hour was I flipped the slices over and put the tray back in the…
