My relaxation during the holiday season involves personalizing gifts and making them myself. This can prove to be time consuming but by keeping them easy and giving them some consideration ahead of time, these crafts and smaller projects have become one of my biggest stress relievers. This project requires little skill and a few affordable materials. One of the things I look for when the holiday season starts are assorted shapes of wood ornaments. Decoupaged Wine Bottle Using Christmas Cards. Project #3.
I love the way all three of my Christmas card projects turned out. I think the shape of this bottle is especially suited to the shape of the picture. To remove some of the layers of paper off the back of the card, I misted the back of the card with water, then I peeled some of the layers off starting from one of the corners. After that I gently rubbed my finger back and forth over the back of the card to roll off more of the paper. I cleaned off the outside of the bottle with alcohol. Maple Syrup Bottle Turned Into Winter Decor With A Holiday Card
The handle on these maple syrup bottles are so cute. I’ve thrown to many of these into the recycling bin. This is project #2 using pictures from the front of holiday cards. I have a previous blog explaining how I take a lot of the backing off the front cover of the holiday cards I used for these projects. I like to spray the back with water, let it soak in for 2-3 minutes then peel what I can get off by lifting from the corners. The rest usually requires me to rub the back of the picture gently with my finger to remove the excess. I cleaned the outside…
